Juneathon – day 30

What a scorcher!! I didn’t get to go on a run today because I spent all day gardening and believe me that was a lot of exercise.  Pulling and pushing, up and down stairs with truggs full of weeds, cutting down trees, stretching and lots of carrying.  The photo shows that I was worn out and I was only half way through then.  I was popped when I finished.  

A great way to spend the last day of Juneathon.  I wonder what Janathon will bring …

Juneathon – day 29

A brilliant Jazzercise session this morning with Antoinette – big calorie burn again (687) because it was so hot.  I looked like a drowned rat when we finished.

I weighed myself when I got back and I have had a 7lb loss this week.  So all the exercise has been worth it.

Juneathon – Day 28

Our week of wellbeing at work (and exercise after school) finished in a mini Olympics and BBQ.  Unfortunately, I missed the mini Olympics, but I managed to get there for a burger (which was rather nice) and a chat with colleagues.  Feeling a bit guilty over not joining in I went home and grabbed by dumb-bells and kettle-bells and spent half an hour throwing those around before giving up an crashing on the sofa.    

Tomorrow I will be better, I promise.

Juneathon – day 27

A little session in the gym tonight rather than a run.  A bit on the bike, cross-trainer and resistance machines.

Followed this by a brilliant Jazzercise session with Antoinette with a huge calorie burn of 744.

Juneathon – day 26

I can’t believe how quickly June is disappearing.  I thought it was going to be hard to do something every day, but actually it has been much easier than I thought.  Obviously I don’t run every day, but I do usually go to 5 Jazzercise sessions a week, and I always run on Thursdays and Sundays at least.  

Today we had a Boot Camp session after school run by the PE department as part of our Well-being week.  It was really good with lots of members of staff joining in, teachers, LSAs and support staff.  It was lovely to see so many people outside together. Some of us had a short run around the track afterwards as well.  Total calorie burn 400

I went to Jazzercise later on and had a hot and sweaty session with Katie doing some very fun routines and mixing it up with a new way to do one of them.  Calorie burn 654.

Juneathon – day 25

Phew what a day it was today.  I cycled to work (6.5 miles), burned a sneaky few calories in a PE lesson.  After school I played staff handball (burning another 333 calories), then I cycled back home again.  I then went to Jazzercise where it was very hot and sticky and Tanya worked us really hard, giving me a calorie burn of 745 – total calorie burn 1,925.

Juneathon – day 24

Nice little Jazzercise session with Antoinette and a calorie burn of 550.  My legs were a little achy after the 10.5 mile run the day before.

Juneathon – day 23 – Penn Seven and Fun Run

What a brilliant day.  I ran the Penn Seven at 11am in my best ever time for this run – 1 hr 20 mins.  I then met up with my hubby and Hope and we then went to have a bit of lunch.  Hope, my friend Lin and I then ran the 3.5 mile Super Fun Run at 2.30pm.  We weren’t quick, but it was great fun.  Really good atmosphere.  30th anniversary of this run – very well done.

Juneathon – day 22

Nice little Jazzercise session this morning. I was expecting Marcel, but it he had swapped with Antoinette.  Really good session – 624 calorie burn and lots of woooooping.  Really warm – It was as wet in the hall as it was outside.

No cardio or running for me today, instead just a little bit of weight and resistance training using my dumb-bells, kettle-bells and exercise ball.
